Are pop-up ads on your Samsung phone or tablet driving you to distraction? To verify this, you can boot your phone into safe mode, which would temporarily disable third party apps which what we would be looking for is to see if the ads stopped while in safe mode. I searched for that ES file the other person said it was but could not find it. I noticed a strange flashlight app that i don't recall downloading but i deleted it from my apps.

Not having those pop ups is such a relief from those pain in the ass pop up adds. Televisions used to be great for just one thing—watching TV. But a more connected world brought with it Smart TVs, devices that can access the web, stream Netflix, and even mirror your smartphone's display. And with this level of connectivity, OEMs like Samsung saw it fit to place targeted and interactive ads on your screen. But the last weeks some new ads have been poping up on my screen, both in apps and on my home screen.

The ads says "Play trivia for free", "Win the new iphone" and similar. I have to press "no thanks." or "download" to get them away. By default, Google Chrome blocks pop-ups from automatically showing up on your screen.
